Prior to joining MPA, Steve was President and a Managing Director of ECU Silver Mining Inc., which he joined in Director January 2007. During his tenure at ECU, Steve played a
key role in all strategic matters involving the company, including managing equity and debt financings, asset acquisitions, joint venture negotiations, technical reports, exploration and production decisions, and culminating in its merger with Golden Minerals to form a leading junior silver mining company with a portfolio of growth projects and a pro-forma market capitalization in excess of $600 million. Steve is also on the Board of Directors of a mining company, AQM Copper Inc.
Prior to joining ECU, Steve worked as an investment banker providing financial and strategic
advice to a large selection of domestic and international public companies in the mining
sector as well as others, at such firms as RBC Dominion Securities, Credit Suisse First
Boston, Scotia Capital and most recently at Desjardins Securities as head of the mining
team. Steve also worked as a geophysicist prior to his investment banking career.
Steve holds a Masters of Business Administration from McMaster University and an Honours
Bachelor of Science (Geophysics) degree from the University of Western Ontario.
