Bob Williams is Chairman of MPA. Bob has acted as a trusted advisor to leaders in business and government in Canada for over 40 years. Widely respected by colleagues and clients alike, Bob has played key roles in many of the largest, most innovative and complex capital markets transactions in the history of Canadian business. He has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience in investment banking and corporate governance and has gained a high level of expertise in all aspects of the Canadian marketplace. Bob is an innovative, visionary leader with an exemplary industry record and a broad network of contacts across Canada.
Originally joining McLeod Young Weir in 1968, Bob progressed through increasingly senior roles and recently retired as Vice Chairman, Equity Capital Markets at Scotia Capital Inc. Bob is an active member of boards of directors for a number of Canadian corporations and is a Governor for St. Andrew’s College as well as the Chair of St. Andrew’s College Foundation.
